Scavenger Hunts combined with Internet Workshop

Hi,
I thought that many of you found the Scavenger Hunts a feasible place to start integrating technology. I think that Scavenger Hunts can be an easy way to introduce a topic to students. Using a scavenger hunt followed by Internet Workshop(Leu) at the end of the week in which students share what they've learned about the content and about using technology will bring the class together- offer teachable moments.

I challenge any brave souls to 1)create a very simple Scaventer Hunt that is related to your curriculum, 2)have students visit your computer center during the week for a half hour stints and then 3)follow up with an Internet Workshop to talk with them as a group about what they've learned (about content and using the computer)
Short and sweet is good. Any takers for 2 points?
You will have to tell us all about it and show your work.

THe role of the classroom teacher in new literacies

I appreciated the feedback you gave me tonight on the new literacies survey. Thank you for your help and constructive suggestions. I appreciated your insights about the ideas you addressed in your small groups. After tonight's class what is your thinking about the role the teacher plays in new literacies? How do you see your role in your own setting?
